Last week’s anti-caturday featured bears. And while Pandas are bears they lack some of the key things that set other bears apart from other caniforms.

Unlike most bears, pandas are almost strictly vegetarian. They eat small rodents when they can for protein as well as eggs and insects. But most of their meals consist completely of bamboo and not only bamboo but two very specific strains of bamboo.

Unlike most bears, pandas also do not hibernate, which seems like an awful drag. However, their diet is so thin that they need to feed all through the winter so no hibernation for them.

Physiologically of course pandas are very much like bears. Their ability to sit just like bears and we do provides for a lot of overflowing cuteness like this:
