Otters are fabulously cute animals. Roughly the size of housecats, in many ways they couldn’t be further from them and in other ways they are just like them. They spend much of their lives in water, with river otters going in only to hunt and travel and sea otters barely ever coming to land. They eat mainly fish but also use crabs, crayfish, frogs and shellfish, even small mammals to supplement their diet.
What makes them even cuter though, is their nature. Otters are extremely playful, pleasurebound creatures. They like playing and have been known to construct things like waterslides, only to slide down them into water again and again just like humans. They’re very active and frankly a barrel of laughs.
