So a while back a redditor shared these images of a shawl his wife had knitted. I thought the pattern looked oddly familiar. Finally I recognized it to be made from a pattern that had been sitting in my Ravelry queue for ages. The inspiring pictures finally gave me the push to order the yarn start the project this summer and I finally finished it this weekend.

I mean look at it. That’s some yarn, two sticks joined by a bit of plastic and two people’s wits (mine and Audry Nicklin’s who designed the pattern).

And there’s the people who sheared the sheep, spun and dyed the wool. Not to mention the people who made the clever, clever beads.

That’s pretty amazing.

I’ve pretty much been stopping everyone I know to bask in the the glory of my brilliance.
