I’m a fan of Phil Plait, otherwise known as the Bad Astronomer. This is a man who gets cranky and ranty about science denialism in its various forms, geekgasmic about pretty pictures of the Universe and has a knack for explaining things in a way that is very understandable to laymen. Not to mention doing all of this in while also being entertaining.
Anyway, Phil Plait has a developing youtube video series in the VlogBrothers operated Crash Course series. It is good. You should watch it.
