It has been three months since I wrote you last and it has been A Time, let me tell you. I caught the plague, had a tendonitis flareup, and I went to Berlin with friends. But through it all, I actually managed to get a whole heap of things done! I’m really pleased the overall progress!

So! I would call this trial of the HB90 method an unqualified success. It really works well for my brain to actually see the progress I’m making and to be working on the stuff that is most likely to take me forward with my goals. It feels really good. Even through my health problems, I didn’t get despondent. I had a visual reminder of all the progress I had already made. And I had a visual reminder of the stuff that still needed to be done, and it felt like a doable amount of stuff that I could work with. And I did actually get so much more work done than I thought I would!
So, of course, I’m doing it again.

And today is the start of the new quarter. Again, I’ve planned three goals for this quarter.
- Feel less limited in my body – I’ve been making a lot of progress on my exercise routines and just in general making sure that I can do all of the things that I want to do. This time, I’m including my me-made wardrobe efforts in this goal, because that’s really what they are about; making me feel more comfortable and less limited in my body.
- Move forward with my writing career – this was an obvious one for me, because well… It just is. This quarter, I’m going to try working on two different novels. I have almost finished the revisions I was working on the previous quarter. There’s still enough work left there that I rolled it over to this quarter. After that, I’m moving on to replan and rewrite the novel I started for NaNoWriMo.
- Move toward financial independence – is my final goal for this quarter. Interest rates are rising seemingly everywhere, and certainly here. We have enough mortgage left that it is giving me some concern. Our interest rate won’t be checked until January. So now is the perfect time to budget extra payments and all that good stuff. I’m also trying to get my YouTube channel monetized by the end of the year.
All of this means, however, that I’m still cutting the extra stuff I’m doing to an absolute minimum. And unfortunately, that means that I won’t have too much time for writing blog posts or a lot of other stuff that is fun but isn’t contributing to my goals. In general, I don’t want to monetize my blog, because this is a place where I basically have thoughts aloud and I don’t want monetization in my head when I do that. But I also do not want to give up on the blog entirely. So I’ll take another break of three months and I will see you again at the end of this quarter.
